2nd Day

Kel, Daryl & Kel's dad came to visit me in the morning. I was very surprised to see Kel's dad as I didn't know that he had came back from his trip. When I got the chance, I asked Kel when did his dad returned. He told me that his dad had returned last night. In the morning, when Kel told him that he & Daryl would be coming to visit me, he asked Kel what happened to me. Then he told Kel that he wants to come along too. They left after a while as Kel had to go for his appts.

In the evening, Kel, Daryl & Asty came back to visit me again in the hospital. Mum & Pris also came along with them. Kat came later at about 8pm as she had to work late. Boy, am I glad to see them. It's getting a bit boring to just sleep & watch TV.

Pris told me that Daryl is a very clever boy. On the way to my ward, she asked Daryl where's Mami. His reply was, " Zhao3 Mami" or find mami. She was surprised that he knew how to say that. At my ward, he saw Pris smsing & he said to her, "Cheese", meaning that he wants to take photos with her handphone. She was so amused. As requested, she took his pics.













































































Mum asked me about my operation. I told her that the doctor removed 8 gall stones & my gall bladder during the operation. She was a bit shocked when she heard that. Then she asked me whether the removal of my gall bladder will affect me in any way. I replied that the doctor told me that I would be fine without my gall bladder. The only inconvenience is that I would not be able to digest fatty & oily food easily, thus I am told to abstain from them for at least the next 1 - 2 years, till my body adapts to it. Seeing how worried she was, I jokingly told her that it would be a good chance for me to lose weight. :p

P/S : The reason why I looked so 'happy' in the above pics is coz I was on the drip. The drip contains antibiotics & painkillers. Thus, I don't feel much pain. :p

At about 8.30pm, they decided to leave so that I could get some rest. I have to agree with them coz I was feeling a bit tired already. When they left, I decided to watch some TV before turning in. Hopefully, I can have some uninterrupted sleep tonight.

Hospitalized

Some of you might remembered that I have been getting frequent episodes of food poisoning & gastrics for the past 2 months. Thus, I have been visiting doctors, taking medicines & jabs very frequently recently. Unfortunately, the above haven't helped much in relieving my pain.

Last night, my body rebelled violently. After dinner, I kena gastrics again. The pain didn't subsided even after having a jab at the 24 hours clinic at midnight. At about 2am, when Kel called the clinic to enquire why the pain had not subsided, he was told to bring me to the nearest A & E. Coz the jab that was given to me was very strong, if it's not working within 1/2 of taking the jab, then something is very wrong with me. *faint*

We got to the nearest A & E at East Shore Hospital in record time. The physician on duty - Dr Chew diagnosed that I am either suffering from gall bladder inflammation or gastrics ulcer. However, he can only confirmed it by a CT scan. Thus, I have to be admitted straight away. The 1st thought that came to my mind was that I can't spent the night with Daryl. Haiz...

In the morning, when the specialist - Dr Melvin Look came to visit me, he also shared the same diagnosis as Dr Chew. Thus, he arranged for a CT scan for me immediately. He told me that if my scan results are clear, then he would arrange for a scope for me. He was very reassuring. He assured me that he would find out what's wrong with me by the end of the day. I was very relieved when I heard that. Finally, I can find out what's wrong with me.

Kel, Daryl & Asty came to visit me after lunch. Kel was very worried about me, thus he was hoping that he could catch Dr Look to see whether he has the answer to my pain. However, during their visit, Dr Look didn't visit me. I told Kel that Dr Look could be waiting for my CT scans before coming by. To 'distract' me, Kel showed me pics that he had taken of Daryl before they left the house.

At about 4.20pm, Dr Look came back to visit me. His diagnosis - I am suffering from acute cholecystitis or acute inflammation or infection of the gall bladder. Therefore, I would have to undergo an operation - Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy to remove the gallstones &/or the gall bladder. Dr Look scheduled the operation for tonight since I have been without food & drinks since 8pm last night.

I called Kel immediately after Dr Look left. I can hear the relief in his voice. Finally we know what's causing me so much pain. He asked me not to be afraid. After the ops, I wouldn't be in pain already.

Later, the anaesthetician - Dr Singh came to visit me. He came to find out more about my allergy to GA. As I am not aware of which specific drug that I am allergic to, I am not able to offer more info to him. He told me that he would try a different combination of drugs this time round, hopefully, my allergy will not be that severe.

At about 7pm, Mum came to visit me. Kel told me that she was very worried when she got the call from him in the morning. Thus, she insisted that she wants to come & visit me. During her visit, the nurses from the OT came to prep me for the operation. Kel & Mum accompanied me to the OT. As Dr Look is still in the OT, I was told to wait in the holding area for a while. As they can't go in into the holding area, I told Kel to send Mum back 1st. Then he can come back & wait for me.

When I woke up after the operation, Kel was beside me. He accompanied me all the way from the OT back to the ward. I hated how I feel after the operation, disorientated & very sleepy. Kel told me to go back to sleep. When I wake up the next morning, everything will be okie already.

Playing at Paragon's Playground

After Nicole's birthday party, we went to shop around Orchard. It's been a long time since we had shopped as a family together.

Our 1st stop is Tangs. I wanted to buy a bottle of perfume as mine is running low already. However, I didn't find any which I like. Thus, we make our way to Paragon. Hopefully, I can find 1 which I like at Metro Paragon.

Along the way, we met Jas & family. Yicheng is already fast asleep in his pram already. Notti Daryl is still not sleeping yet despite the fact that he still hasn't taken his afternoon nap yet. My only consolation is that he's willing to sit in his pram instead of being carried.

Jas & I parted ways at Metro Paragon as we wanted to shop for different stuff. After walking around Metro, I still haven't find 1 perfume which I like. Well, I guessed that I just have to wait till new perfumes are launched. Daryl started to be cranky then as he's getting sleepy. He refused to sit in the pram & wanted to be carried. As it was evening time already, I didn't want him to nap. If not, he's going to sleep at a very late hour later. I have been trying to adjust his sleeping time earlier, thus I decided to bring him to the playground on the 5th level to 'distract' him. While we were there, we met Rykiel & family. It's a pity that Kylie can't join Daryl at the playground. Rykiel was afraid that Kylie would be bullied as the kids playing at the playground are much older than her.

At about 7pm, we had to leave as Kel needs to go for an appt. Daryl kicked up a big fuss as he didn't want to leave. I had to bribe him with sweets before he's willing to leave. Hopefully he will sleep early tonight.

Kel got some appts in Jurong today, so I decided to bring Daryl back to my mum's place. As usual, he enjoyed himself there.

Kel came at about 9.30pm to pick us up. After drinking some of my mum's soup, we left for home. Hopefully, Daryl can sleep early tonight as we got a long day ahead tomorrow.

2nd Chinese Birthday

It's Daryl's lunar birthday today. As it falls on a Sun, we decided to have another celebration. :p I know, I know... I am always finding excuses to celebrate Daryl's special occasions. Well, if you know how much pain & suffering that I went through in order to have him, you would understand why any special occasion of his is cause for celebration. :p

This time round, we celebrated by having a dim sum lunch with my family at Crystal Jade @ Taka. When Daryl woke up, we dressed him in a new tee which i bought from Little Tots Closet. No new pants for him as his butt is still too small for the new pants which I had bought for him. :p





















































After that, we went to the restaurant to meet my mum & sis.

After lunch, we walked around Taka for a while before going back to my mum's place. When we reached my mum's place, Kel had to leave after a while as he got a few appts to go to. While he was away, we tried to get Daryl to take a pic with his 2 Yee Yees. However...

At about 5.45pm, when Kel came back from his appts, me, Daryl & Kat went out with him to tapao dinner back. When we got back, mum went to take Daryl's plate so that he can eat his dinner. I managed to capture this classic moment...

It was so funny that we couldn't stop laughing. This shows that kids of Daryl's age are great imitators. :p

After dinner, we left my mum's place as Daryl is being a bit cranky. He didn't take his afternoon nap as he was too busy playing at my mum's place. He was so tired that he fell asleep once the car started moving. He didn't wake up even when we reached home & continued sleeping.

As at this moment, he's still sleeping. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he'll wake up later for a short while so that I can bath & change him.
