Dawn's 1st Haircut

I went to cut my hair today as I can't stand it anymore. It's getting very messy as the last time I cut it was before Chinese New Year.

As Kel is going to his office, we decided to have lunch with the kids at East Ocean 1st. Then I can walk to my salon while he goes to his office with the kids.

A pic with Dawn while waiting for Kel to be ready

After lunch, I decided to bring the kids to see my stylist - Joyce as she hasn't seen Dawn before. When she saw Dawn, her 1st reaction was, "Your gal needs a haircut." Kel laughed when he heard that coz he's been bugging me to cut her hair for a very long time already.

Since Joyce offered to cut Dawn's hair, I agreed to it as I trusted her. In addition, I also feel that Dawn's long fringe is causing her discomfort.

After Dawn got her hair cut, Kel & the kids left for his office so that I can cut my hair in peace. When I am done, he came to pick me up with Daryl.

Me, Dawn & Daryl. Pity that mine & Dawn's new haircuts can't be seen clearly as it was too dark.

Clever Dawn

I was surfing the net at the dining table while keeping an eye on Daryl & Dawn. The 2 of them were standing at the sofa there exploring the goodies bags which they had gotten from Natalie's birthday party yesterday.

Dawn then came to me holding a pack of Tom & Jerry chicken crackers & pointed to it repeatedly. She was 'telling' me to open it for her. I refused as I didn't want her to eat that. After a few tries to get me to open it, she walked away. I thought that it was the end of the matter.

A few minutes later, I went to check on the kids & I saw this...

Dawn had opened up the pack of chicken crackers by herself & was eating it happily!!

I suspect that she had tear repeatedly at the top of the packet & managed to tear it open. When I saw it, I laughed. Since she's so clever to open it by herself, I let her enjoyed her 'fruits of labour', even though it's only 5 pieces. :p

Lunch with Pat, Moses & Walter

Moses & Walter are going to Perth for further studies in Dec. Thus, Pat asked us to arrange for a lunch with them before they fly off.

Pat & Dawn in the lift. See how 'serious' Dawn looks in the 1st pic. :p

We decided to have dim sum at Imperial Treasure Restaurant at Ngee Ann City. However, as it was a last minute decision to eat there, I didn't have a chance to make a reservation. Thus, we were not able to get a table. In the end, we decided to go back to Crystal Jade. As we didn't have a reservation, we had to wait for a while before a table was available.

We waited for 30 minutes before a table was available. I made a mental note to myself that we are not lunching at Crystal Jade without a reservation the next time.

After lunch, we took pics for remembrance.

Kel, Me, Pat & Moses. Daryl was looking at Dawn who had fallen asleep by then.

After that, Kel & Walter had to leave. Kel got an appt while Walter had to go & cut his hair before he goes back to camp. Me, Daryl & Dawn made our way to the children department at Takashimaya as I had to buy wet wipes for the kids. Pat & Moses then went to Lucky Plaza to change money. We arranged to meet again once they are done with their errands.

We spend a long time at the children department. I was window shopping with a sleeping Dawn while Daryl was playing with all the toys there. That's not all. He even asked me to buy a toy cement mixer for him. Seeing what a good boy he is, I decided to buy it for him.

Pat called me then to say that she & Moses are at The Coffee Club having tea. Thus, we made our way there after paying for the cement mixer. On our way there, Dawn woke up. She was just in time for some tea. :p

At about 5pm, Kel came back to pick us up so that Pat can go home to do some last min packing. Moses then left to meet up with his girlfriend. Hopefully we can meet up again before the 2 boys leave for Perth.

Daryl got Bitten

I was sitting on our bed watching TV & keeping an eye on Dawn while Asty was showering Daryl. When they came out of the bathroom, Asty asked me how come Daryl's back got bitten? I was surprised to hear her question as I didn't know about it. I told Daryl to turn around & let me check.

To my shock, I saw a bite on Daryl's back with 2 tiny puncture wounds. The flesh surrounding the wound is red & raw too. My 1st reaction was to call Teacher Stacie & asked her what had happened. However, looking at the time, I decided not to as it was very late already.

I asked Daryl about the bite mark. He told me that 1 of his classmate - Zephan had bitten him on his back when they were playing together in the afternoon. Then I asked him whether the wound was painful or not. He told me that it was very painful. My heart pained when I heard his reply. I told him that he should have told Daddy just now when Daddy went to pick him up from school. If we had know, we wouldn't have went out for dinner. I guessed that he was so excited about having dinner with us & Pat that he had forgotten about the pain. As the incident happened in school, I asked Daryl whether he had told Teacher Stacie about it. He replied that he told Teacher Rohaya about it. I was a bit cheesed off when I heard that. I understand that kids can be quite boisterous when they are playing together. Injury(ies) can be quite common also. What I am cheesed off about is that no one had informed us about it. I made a mental note to myself that I am going to see Teacher Stacie on Mon & lodge a complaint.

After applying the calendula cream for Daryl, I dressed him & gave him a very big kiss.

Daryl's 1st Mooncake

Daryl's school had a lantern & mooncake making session today in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival. He was so excited that he couldn't wait to show it to me just now when he reached home.

The mooncake on the left is made by Daryl.

After dinner, he went to take out the mooncake so that he can eat it. The heartwarming thing is, he actually share the mooncake with Dawn. When I see him feeding Dawn, my heart melts. I didn't get a chance to take pics as Dawn was sitting on my lap. When they had finished the mooncake, I gave Daryl a very big kiss...

Dawn is Walking

Dawn has been cruising for a while already. Therefore, it's a matter of time that she starts to walk. It turns out that today is the day! What a pity that Kel is not here to see it.

I was in the living room sorting through Dawn's clothes which Trina had returned to me. At the same time, I was keeping an eye on Daryl & Dawn who was playing with their toys at the coffee table there. Suddenly, Dawn stood up & she started to walk towards me! When she reached me, I clapped my hands & gave her a big hug. In return, she gave me a cheeky grin. It's as if she's showing off to me that she walked already.

My little gal is growing up already...

New Camera

We went to Sim Lian Square today to source for a new camera. Our old Canon camera can't make it already as it's already more than 4 years old. The battery's lifespan is getting shorter & shorter. It's so short that after taking a few pics, the battery would be flat already. Since Kel is going to USA next week, we thought that it would be a good time to get a new 1.

When we reached Sim Lim Square, we went to find my uncle to see whether he knows anyone who works in a camera shop. However, he told us that he didn't know anyone. Thus, we make our way to Alan Photo Trading. That was also where we had bought our Canon camera from. The guy at the shop recommended the Samsung ST500.

The above pics are taken using the Samsung camera. After trying it out & comparing against a few other cameras, we decided to buy it. Now all that we got to do is to figure out how to use it. :p

Daryl's 1st Present

Daryl is turning 4 years old soon. To celebrate his birthday, we decided to hold a party for him to celebrate together with his classmates.

In the morning, he got his 1st birthday present from Yvonne.

He was so excited that he wanted Kel to unwrap his present immediately. Thus, the doting daddy did as he was told. :p

After unwrapping it, Daryl went to sit on it immediately.

Daryl was a bit scared when he 1st ride on the bicyle. In addition, he also didn't know how to pedal forward to move the bicycle. After a while. he got the hang of it. However, he still need lots of practice.

Dawn on seeing her kor kor ride the bicycle, she decided that she wants to sit on it also. :p

After cycling around the living room for a while, Daryl got tired. Therefore, we told him to take a break by going to take his shower. While Daryl was taking his shower, Dawn decided that she wants to sit on it by herself.

Then Daryl came out of the shower & decided to ride on his bicyle again.

Dawn was very upset that she can't sit on it by herself. Therefore she went to play golf.

What a great way to start the day! Thanks a lot Yvonne! Daryl & Dawn loves your present! :p

Notti Daryl

Kel went to pick up Daryl just now as he needs to meet a client near Daryl's school. When he got back, he told me that Teacher Stacie had complained to him about Daryl being naughty in school. I asked Kel what did Daryl do in school. He told me that Daryl had put a piece of vegetable into his classmate's milk. I laughed when I heard that coz it sounds like just what Daryl would do.

When Daryl came out of the bathroom where he went to wash his hands, I kept a straight face & asked him very sternly why did he put vegetable into his classmate's milk. Initially, he refused to answer & kept changing the subject. I didn't press further.

After dinner, I asked Daryl again. Then he told me that it's because during lunch, his classmate had put his hand into Daryl's bowl of food & ate it. Thus he was very angry. I nearly burst out laughing when I heard that. However, I kept a very straight face & told him that even though his classmate had done that, he is still not allowed to put vegetable into his classmate's milk. He should go & tell Teacher Stacie instead. He nodded his head & went off to play.

I went into the study room to tell Kel what Daryl told me. We had a good laugh about it. This shows that our boy is growing up. He knows how to defend himself now. :p

Daryl Walks Down the Stairs

Me, Daryl & Dawn went to my mum's place just now. Kat came down to the carpark to help me to carry our stuff up to my mum's place. As my mum's house is not on the lift landing level, we had to walk down some stairs to get to her place.

Daryl walked in front of us as he's very anxious to see his popo. As he walked down the stairs, both Kat & me noticed that he had improved in his walk. Instead of putting his 2 feet on 1 step at a time, he now walked down the steps 1 foot at a time. When I saw, I was very amazed that he was able to do that. I guessed that all the walking down the stairs in his school helped a lot. :p

Looking at Daryl walking down the stairs makes me realised how much he had grown already. Time really flies... Soon he would be going to primary school already. I don't want time to pass by so fast. I want him to be my little boy always...
