Celebrating Winter Solstice Festival

Today is the Winter Solstice Festival or 'Dong Zhi'. As Kel's mum didn't celebrate this festival, we went back to Mum's place for dinner.

After Daryl & Dawn's afternoon nap, we showered & changed them & made our way to Mum's place. While waiting for the lift, I took some pics of the 3 of them as Daryl is quite co-operative today.

By then, we had reached the carpark already. Thus, we drove to Mum's place.

Mum was so happy to see her grandkids as it's been 1 month since we visited her. We didn't visit for so long coz we had been taking turns to fall sick.

For dinner, Mum had cooked a very sumptuous dinner for all of us. All of us were so full after the dinner.

After dinner, Pris gave Daryl his 1st Christmas present. She had bought him a Thomas the Train folder & stickers. Daryl was so happy when he saw it. He refused to let go of it for the rest of our visit. I was complaining to her that she is biased as she only bought a present for Daryl wherelse Dawn got nothing. :p She retorted that she don't know what to buy for Dawn as she's still so young. Hehehe...

In addition, she also bought 2 sets of CNY outfits for Daryl & Dawn when she went to Hong Kong recently for her holiday. Will take pics when they wear the outfits during CNY.

At about 7.30pm, Dawn started to fuss as she's sleepy. As she can't seem to sleep, we decided to head home. Mum was saying that maybe Dawn wants her own bed since she can't seem to sleep even when she's in the carseat. True enough, Dawn seems to know that we were going home. She fell asleep immediately once we strapped her carseat in the car.


When we reached home, Dawn woke up. Thus, we quickly showered Daryl & her so that they can turn in for the night. We then watched TV for a while before tucking them into bed. While we were watching TV, Daryl was pasting his Thomas the Train stickers onto his folder & face. When I asked Daryl to remove the stickers from his face, he refused & insisted on wearing them while watching TV together with Kel.

In the end, he went to sleep with the stickers on his face. I had to peel them off when he's sound asleep. *faint*

Dinner with Esther & Chris

Esther asked me out for dinner tonight as she needed to collect her road tax disc from me. Initially we wanted to go to The Line at Shangri-La Hotel, however, the place is fully booked tonight & tomorrow night. Can you believe it? In the end, she chose Equinox Restaurant at Swissotel The Stamford.

I bought Daryl & Dawn along as Kel has an appt at night. I am not trying to be gungho by bringing out the 2 kids by myself. It's mainly coz I don't really trust Asty to take care of Dawn alone by herself. It's a long story as to why I feel that way these days. Will update when I am more settled in my thoughts.

Chris was able to join us as KJ is out of town. Thus, the 3 of us had a great time catching up over a great dinner. To be honest, I am amazed that we can eat & chat at the same time coz our conversations are always interrupted by our kids. At the end of the dinner, we said that we should do this more often to regain our sanity. :p

I forgot to take pics during dinner as I was too busy looking after Daryl & Dawn. I only remembered when we were in the car getting ready to go home & it's also coz Daryl looked so comical wearing my sunglasses on his head.

On the drive back, they were so tired that they fell asleep in the car. When I reached home, I had to ask Kel & Asty to come down to the carpark to help me. What a great evening... Hopefully we can do it again soon.

Playing with the Lamaze Octivity Time

Daryl was 'entertaining' Dawn with the Lamaze Octivity Time just now. Seeing them play, I couldn't resist taking a vid.



The vid was quite short coz Daryl accidentally hit Dawn & she started crying. Thus, I had to stopped videoing to pacify her. :p

70th Birthday Celebrations

Tonight, we went to Jason's mum's 70th birthday dinner celebration at Roland Restaurant. He had booked a VIP room with 8 tables to celebrate his mum's birthday.

After all of us had bathe & changed, I told Kel to take some pics for remembrance.

After all the photo-taking, we proceeded to Roland Restaurant for the dinner.

The food at the dinner was not as good as we expected. However, it could be due to the packed capacity that night. I didn't know that the restaurant is so popular.

While waiting for the courses to be served, Kel, the doting dad, played with Dawn while I took pics. Daryl are not in the pics coz he's running around in the VIP room area playing with his new friends.


















































































































































































After dinner, I drove coz Kel had some drinks during the dinner. While travelling along Jalan Eunos, I had to brake suddenly at a traffic light junction due to the red light. You know what my precocious boy said? He was sitting in the front passenger seat & he turned to me & said, "Mummy, Daddy can drive properly 1!" Kel who was sitting in the back seat with Dawn roared with laughter. He gloated, "See, even your son thinks that Daddy is a better driver!" *faint* I don't know whether I should laugh or cry.

Flipped

Dawn flipped to her tummy just now in the afternoon!

I had put her on the bed just now while I went to take my hp from the study room. When I came back to the room again, I saw her trying to flip over. I ran to call Kel who's working in the study room. Then the 2 of us rushed into our room.

After a few tries, she managed to flip successfully to her side. We were so happy coz we managed to witness her 1st flip. We had missed Daryl's 1st flip coz we were both at work that time. :(

I took a vid of her trying to flip again.



Now we got to be more careful about where we put her down already.

Photo Taking Time

Kel got some free time in the afternoon just now. Thus, he brought me & Dawn out to Parkway Parade to buy a new microwave to replace our old 1 which had spoilt already.

Kel went to change Dawn while I went to pack her stuff. He choose this romper which Chris had given to Dawn during her full month. When I went back to our room to check on them, Dawn looks so sweet that I couldn't resist asking Kel to take pics of the 2 of us.

After we were done with the photo taking, we left the house. In the lift, when I saw how cute Dawn looked with the Winnie the Pooh receiving blanket which was given by Esther, I couldn't resist taking pics.
