KL Trip - Day 2

Day 2 of our KL trip is spent with Mum, Kat, Pris & KP in the morning & at China Town in the afternoon.

In the morning, we had brunch with Mum & Kat at the Dondang Sayang Coffee House. At about 11am, Kat went up to their room to bring their luggage over to our room as they had to check out at 12pm. Then Pris & KP came to join us. When they are done with their food, they went to check out. Pris & KP then made their way to Genting Highlands Resorts while Mum & Kat followed me back to our room to wait for their coach which departs at 3pm.

Daryl & Dawn had a great time playing with Mum & Kat. They played so much that they fell asleep. Kel also slept as he was tired. They were still sleeping when Mum & Kat left. I accompanied them to the lobby to wait for their coach.

After they left, I went back to our room. Kel & Daryl had woken up by then. After discussing with Kel, we decided to go to China Town. When Dawn woke up, we went down to the lobby to take a cab to China Town. The cab fare costs us RM$15. However, I suspect that the actual cab fare is lesser if we go by the meter. That is 1 peeve which I have about travelling in Malaysia. Almost all the cab drivers don't go by the meter. Therefore, we always end up paying much more.

China Town had undergo a lot of changes. Now there are a lot of stalls selling imitation goods such as bags, wallets, tees, watches, etc. We bought a Ben 10 toy set for Daryl at 1 of the few stalls selling toys. He was so happy about it. It makes me smile to see how easily satisfied he is. :p We also bought a pair of black Adidas shoes for Daryl & a pair of matching pink Adidas shoes for Dawn which I planned to let them wear it for CNY. At 1 of the shops in China Town, we bought a Ben 10 bag for Daryl as his existing school bag is getting a bit tattered already. Further down China Town, I saw a stall selling local titbits. That was the stall which Mum would patronise every year when we went back to Malaysia. Seeing the stall brings back a lot of memories for me. Needless to say, I bought a lot of local titbits from the stall.

As China Town comprises of 2 streets only, we finished it in a very short time. Thus, we decided to have dinner at 1 of the stalls there before heading back to the hotel. While waiting for our dinner to be served, I ordered a big pau for the kids to eat 1st.

Our dinner was served shortly after taking the pics. We had chicken rice with roast chicken & roast meat. We also ordered bittergourd with carrots & prawns soup. After the nice dinner, we took a cab back to our hotel to rest.
