The Little Gym

We were invited to Nicole's The Little Gym class today. Esther told me that The Little Gym had extended an invitation to 1 of Nicole's baby pals to attend 1 of their session. Since it's the 1st time that Daryl will be attending these kind of classes, we decided that we'll bring Daryl there for an eye opener.

It was a disaster initially. Coz when the singing started, Daryl was scared out of his wits. Poor Daryl! We had to bring him out of the class to calm him down. He only managed to calm down after about 20 mins. By then, the session was already half way through. He only managed to participate in the free & easy session. Luckily he managed to enjoy himself in the end, especially during the bubble time.

No No...

Daryl knows how to shake his head!! I saw Daryl shaking his head & kicking his legs on Sat morning when he was watching Sesame Street. However, I didn't get a chance to capture it on video as it was so short. On Sun, I realised that when we said the word "No No", he'll shake his head. So i managed to capture a few videos of him. He's so cute!! Seeing this video always makes me laugh. The best thing is that he'll say papa sometimes when he does that. Kel is so happy about it.

Sexy Daryl

For some unknown reason, 1 of Daryl's hands got loose from his sleepsuit tonight. Think that his sleepsuit is too big for him. But I got no choice coz he outgrows his clothes so fast. Thus I have to buy bigger size clothes for him. Anyway, here are some pics to show how sexy he is:

Sesame Street Show

Today is our lucky day!! Why?? Coz we were given 2 tickets by Esther to watch the Sesame Street show. Yipee!! On 1 hand, I am very happy that I can bring Daryl to see the show. On the other hand, I am sad that Esther & Julian had to give up their tickets coz they were both sick. I hope that they'll recover soon.

Kel thinks that it is a waste of time bringing Daryl to see such shows as he thinks that Daryl will not enjoy the show. However, he is wrong!! Here's some pics to prove it:


















































Daryl enjoyed the show a lot!! He was so engrossed in it!! Usually he'll be very frightened of loud noises. He is even afraid of the noise from the grass cutters whenever they cut the grass at my block downstairs & we live on the 8th floor!! I swear that I am going to kill my 1st maid if I ever see her.

Matthew's 21st Birthday Party

We were invited to Matthew's 21st birthday party at Aranda Country Club today. As Daryl is the only baby there, he had special priviledges. 1 of them is having the whole king-sized bed to himself so that he can roll all over the bed. In addition, he also have the chance to wear the crown for the nite.

3rd Wedding Anniversary

It's our 3rd wedding anniversary today & it's the 1st time that Daryl is celebrating with us!!

To celebrate this occasion, we decided to bring Daryl out for lunch @ Crystal Jade for a very sumptuous dim sum lunch. To our disappointment, when we reached Crystal Jade, we found out that it's undergoing extensive renovations. Thus it's closed. Lucky for us, Crystal Jade had shifted their operations to another outlet at the 2nd level. Thus we made our way there. While waiting for our dim sum to be served, we took some pics.

My notti boy decided that he's going to help me to change his cot's bedsheets today. You may asked how can he do it?? Well, here's how he did it...

2nd day of Chinese New Year

Today is the 2nd day of Chinese New Year. As per previous years, we went back to my mum's place to bai nian & have lunch there. However, this year is slightly different as we got a new member who's joining us.

This is the 1st year which Daryl goes to my mum's place to bai nian, thus my mum is very excited about our visit. She cooked a very sumptuous lunch for us to partake. However, it's a pity that Daryl can't eat much of the food as he's still too young.

After our lunch, we went to my Gu Po's house for a visit. When we reached her house, Gu Po & Gu Jie were so excited to see him that they raised their voices when they saw us. They last saw him when he was just a month old. Now he's all grown up already. Their loud voices scared Daryl so much that he cried very loudly, thus I had to pacify him. He calmed down after a while. However, he wouldn't let anyone else carry him. It was only towards the end of our visit that he allowed Gu Po & Gu Jie to carry him, but only for a short while. We left after about 1 hour's time. Before we left, Gu Po & Gu Jie told us to visit them more often.

After that, we went to my Grandma's place. It's been a while since we visited. When I saw Grandma, I couldn't believe how much she had aged. She couldn't recognized us at all despite the fact that we are her fav grandkids. This is the result of the dementia which she's suffering from. Haiz... We took some pics with her for remembrance.

About 2 hours later, we went back to my mum's place. Mum told us to have our dinner there since we don't have any plans.

After dinner, we were sitting at the sofa watching TV when Daryl decided to use my finger as his teether.

Katherine's 21st Birthday

My youngest sis - Katherine finally turns 21 years old this year. As it's a milestone in her life, she decided to celebrate it @ Aloha Loyang.

For the celebration, she booked a chalet for 3 days 2 nights, we decided to stay there to let Daryl experience chalet living. :p This would be the 2nd time that he's staying at a chalet. However, the amount of things that we have to bring is not any lesser than the last time. Can you imagine, Daryl's stuff occupies 1 small suitcase, while Kel & my stuff is stuffed into a gym bag, Haiz...

Back to Work

I had to go back to work today after 2 months of maternity leave. I regretted taking only 2 months as I am going to miss Daryl a lot while I am at work. I had no choice as the year end renewals are coming up. In addition, another colleague of mine - Emily is on maternity leave also. Thus, the company is very short handed

Before I left for work, I asked Kel to take some pics of me & Daryl.

Being away from Daryl is not easy. I missed him soooooo much when I was working. I kept thinking about what is he doing now, whether Ati knows how to take care of him while I am not around coz today is the first day that she is looking after Daryl alone. When it was time to go home, I abandoned all my work & went home immediately.

When I reached home, I went to shower immediately so that I can play with Daryl. He seems to know that I am back & kept smiling at me. He is such a happy baby! After a while, he was so tired that he fell asleep on my shoulder.

Baby has a Name

After 9 days of delibrating, Kel finally decided to name our baby - Cheng Jun Wei, Daryl (郑 竣 伟). Here are 2 pics of our newly named baby.

From this name choosing exercise, I can see that Kel really dotes on Daryl. Coz he spent so many nights cracking his head to choose a good name for him. That was on top of taking care of me & Daryl & the house. He had to do my confinement for me, take care of Daryl & do the housework at the same time. In order to let me have more rest, he even took care of Daryl's night feedings. It's no joke coz Daryl had to be fed like every 2 hours as he is on breast milk. It must be very tiring for Kel. I feel so fortunate to have married him!!
